Half-way? Say what?!?!

Wow!  It’s been a loooong time since I posted here.  Never said I was very good at following through with things :/  If I was, I’d have washboard abs by now!  Anywho, after a wonderful holiday break, we’ll be starting the 2nd half of our CC school year in just 2 days.  I can’t believe our break is over, and much of that break was spent fighting germs!  Whatever is “going around” must have enjoyed the accommodations here, because it decided to stay for about 3 weeks :/  Thankfully, we are all in good health now and ready to get back to our homeschool busyness – and I love it!  I’m amazed by how much my kiddos have learned in CC and I’m excited to learn more right along with them.  In early December, our community hosted a special parent night, where the students were able to show off what they’ve been learning.  My parents attended and had a wonderful time learning more about CC and the homeschool community.  The kiddos have also celebrated their new friends’ birthdays at a couple of really fun parties, which has been so sweet to be a part of… love new friendships ❤

In addition to CC and ballet, we will begin participating in Saints physical education program for homechoolers.  I am especially excited about Saints, as it is something we’ve been hoping to be involved in for a while.  It is an amazing program that teaches teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, etc.  However, what has most impressed me about Saints is the way they minister to the individual child – meeting them where they’re at and encouraging them for who they are and the gifts that God has given them.  Their love for children is evident in everything they do!

I am so thankful for this homeschool journey!  Here we go 🙂

  1. You are a very good writer. It is fun to read your updates. I do not think you need to pressure yourself to write more often. It is so wonderful that they learn school subjects but also learn more about our Lord. Love it!
